PSIRA D-Grade (SASSETA D – Access Control Officer)

This course aims to provide knowledge on how to conduct access control at the egress point. In particular, a Access Control Officer would acquire the skills to:

• Conduct access and egress control
• Conduct evacuations and emergency drills
• Identify, handle and defuse security related conflict
• Apply basic business ethics in a work environment
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000)
• Apply knowledge of HIV/AIDS to a specific business sector and a workplace
• Operate a computer workstation in a business environment
